1-99 Complete Agility Guide OSRS (fastest way) - OSRS Guide (1)

Your Agility level has an impact on how quickly you regenerate your run energy, so naturally, it’s a pretty important skill to train! This Agility Guide shows you the best ways to level up the skill AFTER the May 2024 Rework.

I’ll go over some useful information first so use the navigation below (or skip to Agility Path) if you’re already familiar.

May 2024 Agility Rework

1-99 Complete Agility Guide OSRS (fastest way) - OSRS Guide (2)

As part of the Skilling Rebalance update, Agility received a massive update. The rework focussed on 3 things: making the early game more accessible, adding Marks of Grace to more agility courses, and making the leveling progression more linear.

In the new system, you get more exp/hr for higher-level courses (which wasn’t always the case before).

You can check out the blogpost for a full rundown, but if you’re feeling lazy, I’ve updated this guide with the new best ways to train!

Why you should train Agility in Old school Runescape

There are two main reasons to train Agility:

  • Faster run regeneration
  • Graceful outfit

Your run energy restoration increases by 5 to 10% for every 7 Agility levels you gain. Once you reach level 50 Agility, you already recover energy TWICE as fast as you did at level 1!

At level 99, you recover 3X faster!

You also unlock the ‘Graceful outfit’ via Agility, which will help you get around easier.

So every player should train their Agility, the earlier the better!

Recommended Quests

Before we get started, here are some low-requirement quests that can help you skip the early agility levels.

1-99 Complete Agility Guide OSRS (fastest way) - OSRS Guide (3) The tourist trap

This a relatively short quest with the only requirements being 10 fletching, 20 smithing and the ability to kill a level 47. This quest doesn’t give agility experience directly but it gives you two lamps, which can take your agility level all the way up to 26.

1-99 Complete Agility Guide OSRS (fastest way) - OSRS Guide (4) The grand tree

Following the Tourist Trap, you can do the Grand Tree. This quest requires 25 Agility and rewards you with 7,900 experience, taking you instantly to level 32 Agility!

For a full list of quests that reward Agility XP, check the wiki.

Marks of Grace

Many Agility courses (rooftop and regular courses) reward players with Marks of Grace. These randomly spawn around the course, and can be traded for pieces of the coveted ‘Graceful Outfit’.

1-99 Complete Agility Guide OSRS (fastest way) - OSRS Guide (5)

Graceful outfit pieces are ‘weight-reducing items’. Wearing the full set takes away -25kg AND comes with a set effect that offers 30% faster run energy restoration.

Naturally, this is something you want to strive for as early as possible which is why Agility is one of the most commonly-trained early game skills.

Being the lightest outfit in OSRS, it’s perfect for questing, skilling, farming, AND agility training!

Obtaining the full set requires 260 Marks of Grace.

The most efficient way to spend your marks of grace is in the following order: Gloves > Hood > Boots > Cape > Top > Legs.

Best Agility Food: Summer Pies

1-99 Complete Agility Guide OSRS (fastest way) - OSRS Guide (6)

You take falling damage from failing obstacles while you train agility, so you always want to have food on you.

Summer pies are considered the best food for agility as each pie gives you 2 bites, each healing you 11 hitpoints, and you get a temporary +5 level boost and 10% energy restore.

Due to their level boost, Summer pies can also be used to access higher-level agility courses, earlier.

Fun fact: you only need the level requirement for the first obstacle of a course. So you can always boost for the start of the course, and finish it even if you don’t technically have the required level! Using summer pies to unlock better courses is a bit expensive but does save a lot of time.

1-99 Agility Path

I consider this the ‘chill way’ to train Agility, and as I’ve come to know my audience over the years, the majority of you reading this will find the most value in this path.

1- 20 Draynor Village Rooftop Course

1-99 Complete Agility Guide OSRS (fastest way) - OSRS Guide (7)

The first thing you want to do is train your agility from level 1 all the way to 20 at the Draynor Rooftop course. At 10K exp/hr, this will take only about 30 minutes!

For anyone reading this thinking I made a mistake, the Draynor Rooftop course is now available at level 1 Agility as part of the new rework, hurray!

EXP Rate: 10k/hr
Approx time:30 minutes
Marks of Grace per hour:12

To get here, either walk to Draynor Village from Lumbridge or use an amulet of glory to teleport.

1-99 Complete Agility Guide OSRS (fastest way) - OSRS Guide (8)

20- 30 Al Kharid Rooftop Course

1-99 Complete Agility Guide OSRS (fastest way) - OSRS Guide (9)
EXP Rate: 12k/hr
Approx time:30 minutes
Marks of Grace per hour:10
1-99 Complete Agility Guide OSRS (fastest way) - OSRS Guide (10)

You can walk to Al Kharid from Lumbridge (10GP for toll gate if you haven’t done Prince Ali Rescue) or teleport via a Dueling Ring or Amulet of Glory.

30-35 Varrock Rooftop Course

1-99 Complete Agility Guide OSRS (fastest way) - OSRS Guide (11)

Between levels 30-50, you’ll be hopping from course to course after 5 levels. Starting at Varrock, followed by the Barbarian Outpost, Canifis, and finally the Shayzien course.

Feel free to ‘skip’ any course you don’t like between these levels!

P.s. you gain Marks of Grace at all these locations, so don’t let that impact your decision.

EXP Rate: 14k/hr
Approx time:30 minutes
Marks of Grace per hour:10
1-99 Complete Agility Guide OSRS (fastest way) - OSRS Guide (12)

35-40 Barbarian Outpost

1-99 Complete Agility Guide OSRS (fastest way) - OSRS Guide (13)

You can also stay at the Varrock Rooftop, but the Barbarian Outpost offers slightly better exp/hr.

The Barbarian outpost offers 18K exp/hr +5K strength exp/hr. Use a Games Necklace to teleport here.

You will need to complete Alfreds Barcrawl to gain access to the course, in which you visit a couple of pubs around Gielinor, this only takes about 5-10 minutes.

Pro tip: You only need 35 Agility to gain access to the course. So at 30 Agility you can eat a Summers Pie squeeze through the tube and continue to use the obstacles for as long as you don’t leave.

EXP Rate: 18k/hr (+5K str)
Approx time:50 minutes
Marks of Grace per hour:14

Barbarian Outpost is most easily accessed via a Games Necklace. Otherwise, walk here from East Ardougne.

1-99 Complete Agility Guide OSRS (fastest way) - OSRS Guide (14)

40 – 50 Canifis Rooftop (until Graceful complete)

1-99 Complete Agility Guide OSRS (fastest way) - OSRS Guide (15)

If you plan to complete your Graceful outfit, Canifis is the place to be as this rooftop course has the highest yield of Marks of Grace.

As soon as you complete your graceful set, your best bet is to go to the Brimhaven Agility Arena next.

EXP Rate: 19k/hr
Approx time:3.5 hours (to 50)
Marks of Grace per hour:19

To reach Canifis, you can walk here from Varrock, use a Fairy Ring (code: C-K-S), or have a Canifis teleport in your P-O-H. You will also need to have completed the quest Priest in Peril to gain access.

1-99 Complete Agility Guide OSRS (fastest way) - OSRS Guide (16)

40-80 Brimhaven Agility Arena

1-99 Complete Agility Guide OSRS (fastest way) - OSRS Guide (17)

Once you have your full Graceful, head over to Brimhaven for the Agility Arena. This arena has been reworked and it’s now super accessible to lower-level Agility!

The only caveat is that you don’t collect Marks of Grace here. Instead, you get XP tickets and Store vouchers.

In this Arena, you traverse obstacles and try to make your way to a highlighted pillar within 1 minute. If you do so successfully, you will be awarded an XP voucher (worth 345 Agility exp) and a Shop voucher.

Since the rework, it’s impossible not to make the ticket dispenser in time.

Depending on whether you go for the ‘AFK’ or ‘sweaty’ strategy, and your current agility level, you’ll get between 40-65K exp/hr training here.

During the AFK method, you reach the ticket pillar and then wait for the next one to spawn. You can make it a little sweatier (increasing your exp/hr) by doing one obstacle over and over (e.g. Spinning Blades).

Aside from XP vouchers (60/hr), you also get Shop vouchers (60/hr) which you can spend on:

  • Graceful recolors
  • Snapdragon herbs
  • Toadflax herbs
  • Amylase packs
  • Pirate’s hook

This makes the Brimhaven Arena a handy resource for irons looking to increase their potion supply but also for mains looking to make money.

For example, if you do this activity for 13.5 hours and buy a Pirate’s hook (800 store vouchers), you will profit around 10K per store voucher or 600k GP per hour!

Never done the Brimhaven Arena before? Check out my quick guide for info & best strategies.

EXP Rate: 40-65K
1-99 Complete Agility Guide OSRS (fastest way) - OSRS Guide (18)

To easily reach Brimhaven, use either an amulet of glory (karamja) or travel via the boat on the docks of Rimmington or Ardougne (costs 30GP).

Editors note:
The upcoming courses are alternatives to the ‘Brimhaven Agility Arena’. Expect lower exp rates if you do these instead.

50 – 90 Brimhaven alternatives

The Brimhaven Agility Arena offers better XP/hr than many other courses between levels 40-80 Agility. But if you don’t enjoy it, here are some alternatives.

45 – 50 Shayzien Course

1-99 Complete Agility Guide OSRS (fastest way) - OSRS Guide (19)

For slightly higher experience but fewer Marks of Grace, switch to the Shayzien Course at lvl 45+.

P.S. You will need a crossbow and mithril grapple for this course.

EXP Rate: 30k/hr
Approx time:1 hour 20 minutes
Marks of Grace per hour:10

You can most easily access the Shayzien course by using your Xerics Talisman to teleport to ‘Xeric’s Lookout’, otherwise, use Fairy Ring (code D-J-R) or a Skills Necklace to the WC Guild.

1-99 Complete Agility Guide OSRS (fastest way) - OSRS Guide (20)

50-60 Falador Rooftop Course

1-99 Complete Agility Guide OSRS (fastest way) - OSRS Guide (21)
EXP Rate: 35k/hr
Approx time:5 hours
Marks of Grace per hour:12

60-70 Seers Village Rooftop Course

1-99 Complete Agility Guide OSRS (fastest way) - OSRS Guide (22)

Players who completed the Kandarin HARD diary can set their ‘Camelot’ teleport to Seers village, bumping the hourly exp rate from 45k exp/hr to 56k exp/hr.

EXP Rate: 45k/hr
Approx time:10 hours
Marks of Grace per hour:12

Use a camelot teleport to quickly teleport to Seers Village.

1-99 Complete Agility Guide OSRS (fastest way) - OSRS Guide (23)

70-80 Pollnivneach Rooftop Course

1-99 Complete Agility Guide OSRS (fastest way) - OSRS Guide (24)
EXP Rate: 52k/hr
Approx time:
Marks of Grace per hour:15

Pollnivneach is located in the desert, to get here, use the magic carpet outside the Al Kharid gates (200GP) to quickly reach Pollnivneach.

1-99 Complete Agility Guide OSRS (fastest way) - OSRS Guide (25)

75-90 Prifddinas Rooftop Course

1-99 Complete Agility Guide OSRS (fastest way) - OSRS Guide (26)

If you’ve completed Song of the Elves, the Prifddinas course is a good alternative to the Brimhaven Agility Arena (which you are likely tired of by this point) at level 75+ Agility.

Instead of Marks of Grace, the Priff course rewards you with roughly 15 Crystal Shards per hour.

The Priffdinas course beats the Rellekka course in terms of XP/hr, so it’s recommended to stick to this place until 90+. At 90+ you can switch to Ardougne, or continue here all the way to 99 depending on whether you prefer Marks of Grace or Crystal Shards.

EXP Rate: 60-65K/hr

80-90 Rellekka Rooftop Course

1-99 Complete Agility Guide OSRS (fastest way) - OSRS Guide (27)

Only players who don’t have access to Prifddinas should train here, otherwise, Prifddinas or Brimhaven is better.

EXP Rate: 55k/hr
Approx time:61 hours
Marks of Grace per hour:18
1-99 Complete Agility Guide OSRS (fastest way) - OSRS Guide (28)

You can move your house to Rellekka to quickly travel there. Otherwise, walk here from Camelot (Camelot teleport). Or use an Enchanted Lyre.

90-99 Ardougne Rooftop Course

1-99 Complete Agility Guide OSRS (fastest way) - OSRS Guide (29)

At level 90+, the Ardougne rooftop course is the best place to train (aside from the Hallowed Sepulchre). It will take approximately 110 hours to get to 99 from here.

EXP Rate: 70k/hr
Approx time:110 hours
Marks of Grace per hour:22

Fastest Agility Path

Here’s how you can get from 1-99 as quickly as possible.

This path includes boosting via summer pies, which allow you to unlock courses 5 levels earlier. It also doesn’t prioritize getting Graceful first, follow the 1-99 path for that instead.

Here’s a quick overview:

  • 1-15: Draynor rooftop
  • 15-25: Al Kharid rooftop
  • 25-30: Varrock rooftop
  • 30-35: Barbarian Outpost
  • 35-72: Brimhaven Agility Arena
  • 72-99: Hallowed Sepulchre

As most of those methods are already covered earlier, I won’t go over them again.

Brimhaven Agility Arena

At 35 Agility, go to the Brimhaven Agility Arena and stay here until 80+ Agility at which point you’ll get better exp/hr at the Hallowed Sepulchre.

Bring a full inventory of summer pies as you’ll need the +5 boost to cross the obstacles that require 40+ Agility (e.g. Spinning Blades).

Even at this level, you can easily get 60 tickets per hour, which in combination with the exp you receive, should amount to at least 50K exp/hr if you spend your downtime spamming the spinning blades trap.

For info on this strategy, go here.

Hallowed Sepulchre

After level 72+, The Hallowed Sepulchre offers the fastest Agility experience in the game.

To gain access to this arena (which is located in Darkmeyer), you need to complete the quest ‘Sins of the Father’.

Hallowed Sepulchre experience rates per level:

  • Levels 52 – 62: 40K/hr
  • Levels 62 – 72: 50K/hr
  • Level 72 – 82: 60K/hr
  • Level 82 – 92: 70K/hr
  • Levels 92 – 99: 85K/hr

The Hallowed Sepulchre takes a different approach to agility. On a regular agility course you usually just have to click around, the activity itself is pretty mindless. It doesn’t require much of your attention and can even be done while doing other activities.

I’m personally not a fan, as I prefer ‘chiller’ ways of training but if you like engaging gameplay, I recommend you check it out.

If you’re interested, check out Gnomonkeys guide below.

How to get graceful fast

The main objective for many of us when training Agility is to get the Graceful outfit as quickly as possible.

To do so, we have to look at which course rewards you with the highest amount of Marks of Grace.

I’ve ran every agility course and filled out the average Marks of Grace rate for each method covered in my 1-99 Agility Path.

As you can see, the Ardougne rooftop course yields the highest Marks of grace per hour of 22, but it requires you to have a high Agility level of 90+. Canifis however, only requires you to have 40 agility and gives you 19 marks of grace per hour!

So, for the fastest way to get the full graceful outfit, you should stick to the Canifis rooftop course until you obtain the full set!

How long would it take to get the full graceful set in Canifis?

Assuming you follow this guide and have done the Draynor, Al Kharid, and Varrock rooftop courses, you should already have around 30+ marks of grace when you gain access to the Canifis rooftop course at level 40. This means you need 230 more marks of grace which would take you a total time of 12 hours to obtain.

So it would take you around 12-13 hours to receive the full graceful set using the Canifis rooftop course.

By the time you’ve received your full graceful set, you should have gained an extra 230,000 experience which would put you at level 59 agility.
