Caitlyn Jenner reunites with her I Am Cait castmates five years later (2024)

She gave the world a peak into her transition journey in 2015 with her reality series I Am Cait.

And Caitlyn Jenner looked back on the groundbreaking series as she reunited with some of her costars in a new YouTube video posted Tuesday.

The 70-year-old decathlete and Keeping Up With The Kardashians fixture invited Candis Cayne, Ella Giselle and Chandi Moore back to her home to reminisce about the series over dinner.

Caitlyn highlighted her fit figure in a leopard print dress with a plunging neckline.

She wore her brunette locks straight and resting gently on her shoulders.

The reality star look nervous but excited as she waited at her front door to invite her friends in, before giving each of them a hug.

Ella, who only joined the series in its second and final season, stepped in first and rocked a casual look featuring a low-cut black tank top that was tucked into her high-waisted jeans.

Chandi sported red hair and wore an eye-catching dress with black and white chevron patterns that were spiced up with some floral designs.

Candis, an actress who played major roles on the shows Dirty Sexy Money and The Magicians, looked elegant in a sleeveless cream-colored cable knit sweater and white slacks.

Once they had all greeted each other, the four of them sat down for a meal while catching up and reminiscing.

Caitlyn remembered that the series had been announced just after her coming-out interview with Diane Sawyer, but it had begun filming even earlier.

Candis recalled 'trying to dodge the paparazzi' in an SUV as they prepared to head to San Francisco to do some filming, as they didn't want Caitlyn to be seen before her interview or news of the series had broken.

'There were too many people in the car, and we were swerving everywhere —' she said, before Chandi jumped in to say their attempt to escape unnoticed took 'two hours' of driving around and switching vehicles

Caitlyn added, 'Poor Andrea, our producer, was so worried about somebody getting a picture. Fortunately, nobody did.'

Caitlyn also checked in with Chandi, a trans activist, about her work with BLUSH (Brave Leaders Unified to strengthen our Health), a project devoted to transgender youth.

Like all organizations, it had to conduct most of its services virtually due to the coronavirus pandemic.

The former spouse of Kris Jenner recounted being moved at Chandi's response to a tragedy with one of the people seeking help from BLUSH.

'I remember the first dinner,' she began.Y'ou said something that has stuck with me from that point on. You had had one of the kids at BLUSH — had committed suicide. I remember saying to you, "I can't believe it. How do you deal with something like that?"

'And you said to me, "You can't save every soul. But, you can save them one at a time." And that has resonated with me ever since you said it,' Caitlyn said.

I Am Cait premiered on E! in 2015 and was renewed for a second season in 2016, but the series was canceled after two seasons due to low ratings.

The day before sharing her reunion footage, Caitlyn showed off the rest of her$3.5m Malibu home on MTV Cribs.

In an interview ahead of the episodes, the Olympic gold medalist admitted her home wasn't 'a big house,' but she though others would by impressed by its expansive views.

She also opened up about the impending end of KUWTK in 2021, after filming 20 seasons.

'Some of the best times of my life were with my family shooting that show,' she mused.

'I will miss that, but fortunately all of my kids are doing extraordinarily well and I don’t have to worry about them.'
