Highlights

  • Cyberpunk 2077 collab in Destiny 2 brings futuristic Night City aesthetics to Titans, Warlocks, and Hunters for stylish battles.
  • DOOM in Destiny 2 promises gory excitement with Doom Slayer outfits and demon enemies perfect for fighting the Hive.
  • Star Wars collab potential in Destiny 2 offers Jedi and Sith, Clone Troopers, and lightsabers for epic galactic battles.

Destiny 2 has already seen a few collabs in the Eververse Store, with the likes of Ghostbusters, Mass Effect, The Witcher, and other iconic franchises making their way into Destiny 2 with some great cosmetics. Players can embrace their favorite characters from across multiple franchises with new ships, ghost shells, and of course, outfits. Yet, what other collabs would make perfect sense for Destiny 2 and its growing set of cosmetics?

Destiny 2's best exotics come through as rewards within their challenging raids.

As a grand-scale sci-fi game, the potential for cosmetics and collabs in Destiny 2 is amazing. Players are free to create amazing fashion for their Titans, Warlocks, and Hunters, and there are plenty of franchises that would have some great popularity in Destiny 2.

6 Cyberpunk 2077

The Futuristic Dystopia Of Night City Works Great With Neomuna

CD Projekt RED has already collaborated with Destiny 2 before with The Witcher cosmetics. But, it would be great to see them join forces once more to bring Cyberpunk 2077 into the game. There’s plenty of potential in this set, as Night City is filled with all sorts of distinct gangs that would make for great blueprints of the outfits available for Titans, Warlocks, and Hunters.

Even better still, would be rocking up into a fight with Johnny Silverhand cosmetics, and bringing forth more neo-punk aesthetics like V’s jacket. There could be a grand scale of creativity with the Cyberpunk 2077 set which would blend well with Neptune’s Neomuna and beyond.

5 DOOM

Rip And Tear Demons Like The Hive

Destiny 2: 6 Collabs The Game Needs Next (3)

As Bethesda’s Fallout franchise rules the pop culture scene, there needs to be some space left for DOOM. Bringing forth DOOM into Destiny 2 provides exciting and gory potential, as the Doom Slayer is known for ripping and tearing his way across the forces of Hell. Doom Slayer’s outfit, enemies, and finishers would fit perfectly into Destiny 2.

DOOM has plenty of costume potential. Whether it’s Titans with the buff arms of Doom Slayer, or demons from Hell that could adorn the edgy and metal wardrobes of Hunters and Warlocks, plenty of outfits would provide a distinct recognition that fit right into Destiny 2 when fighting the Hive.

4 Star Wars

Rule The Galaxy With Light And Dark (Sides Of The Force)

Destiny 2: 6 Collabs The Game Needs Next (4)

No space fantasy and sci-fi are on the scale of Star Wars, and although the series seems to be dominant in Fortnite’s collabs, it would have a perfect home in Destiny 2. Whether it’s as the Jedi and Sith, or the armored Clone Troopers and Stormtroopers, the potential for Star Wars in Destiny 2 has never been higher, especially when there’s countless potential to be had.

Destiny 2: 7 Best Activities For Beginners

Beginners in Destiny 2 might be easily overwhelmed by the abundance of activities. Here's what newcomers should try doing first.

Imagine a group of 6 Guardians dressed as Mandalorians, or a Guardian set of Clone Troopers. Destiny 2 could have a wonderful set of cosmetics from the Star Wars galaxy. If Destiny 2 wants to be even more special, they could make an Exotic Sword ornament where players could wield lightsabers.

3 Dead Space

Unlock The Horrors Of Deep Space

Horror themes work perfectly in Destiny 2, especially with how messed up things can be with the Hive, and even with the Witness. There’s one franchise in particular that does sci-fi horror so well, and that’s Dead Space. Bringing forth an array of Isaac Clarke’s outfits across the trilogy would be grand to see.

A Necromorph outfit, or even a Necrmorph Ghost Shell would be the perfect thing for an upcoming Festival of the Lost event. Plus, an emote or a finisher that uses Isaac Clarke’s Plasma Cutter would be a hilarious and cool addition.

2 Borderlands

Embrace The Mayhem Of Pandora

Destiny 2: 6 Collabs The Game Needs Next (7)

For a sci-fi looter shooter, Borderlands is certainly a lot more chaotic than Destiny 2. Players could have a fun time trying to tame the wildness of Pandora and its offerings if the two series combine for a collab. A Claptrap Ghost Shell would be great, but the other potentials for armor sets with Bandit Psychos and Sirens would be even greater.

Every season in Destiny 2 offers players new content in terms of the ongoing story, as well as experimental modes that create new fun.

The Borderlands series has plenty of interesting characters with distinct visual identities that players could see inspiration in for a collab set, so combining Guardians and Vault Hunters into the sci-fi Sol System would help to introduce some further mayhem.

1 Halo

Bungie Comes Full Circle With A Celebration Of Their Origins

Destiny 2: 6 Collabs The Game Needs Next (9)

It would be poetic if Bungie managed to collab with Halo. Whilst the 30th Anniversary Pack for Destiny 2 saw a few homages in the form of recognizable guns and an emote, they were not explicitly Halo. It would be wonderful if Destiny 2 could actually bring forth the previous series Bungie created, and make the sci-fi worlds of Halo and Destiny 2 combine.

Players could finally run around with their own Spartan armor sets, expressing creativity with their favorite characters like Master Chief. They could also wear things inspired by the Covenant’s Sangheili species, the Elites.
