Where do I go if I miss my FedEx package? ›

Refer to your door tag for the pickup location and availability. If your package wasn't automatically redirected, and you don't want to wait for a reattempted delivery, you can use FedEx Delivery Manager^® to request that your package be redirected to a nearby FedEx location or participating retail location.

Or if you'd like more visibility, use FedEx Delivery Manager^®. You can monitor your incoming and outgoing packages throughout the entire delivery process and receive alerts and notifications. You can also call 1.800.GoFedEx 1.800.463.3339 and say “track my package.” Or text “follow” plus your door tag number to 48773.

If a delivery requires a signature or if the package can't be left at your home, we may deliver your package to a nearby secure location for pickup, such as your local FedEx Office or Walgreens store.

How long will a location hold my package for pickup? A secure FedEx location will hold your package for up to 7 days.

What if I am not home to sign for my package? If you are not home to sign for your package, a doortag will be left at your door and the driver may reattempt delivery. To avoid missed deliveries, sign up for FedEx Delivery Manager, where you will be able to sign electronically or give special instructions for delivery.

How can I request a redelivery? In most cases, FedEx will attempt to deliver your package three times before returning it to the shipper. In case a courier is unable to leave your package, the courier will try to call you to check your availability and attempt the delivery.

Can I pick up my FedEx package that is sitting at their destination location? ›

The Hold at Location service is exactly what you think it is. Your package will be delivered to a FedEx location or participating retailer where it will be held until you can pick it up at your convenience. There are some rules, but the service is easy to arrange.

If you missed your delivery, FedEx might make additional attempts to deliver your package, or for residential addresses; it may be redirected to a nearby FedEx or FedEx OnSite location for customer pickup.

If you need to change or correct a delivery address before the package is delivered, log in to your FedEx account, go to our tracking page, and follow these steps: Enter your tracking number or reference number. Select Manage Delivery, then Edit Delivery Address.

In the contiguous U.S., delivery takes 1–5 days. Shipping to and from Alaska and Hawaii is 3–7 days. Check transit times.

Confirm that your recipient has checked everywhere the package might have been left by our driver and click Yes. Yes, you can still pick up your package without your door tag as long as you have the tracking number and a government-issued photo identification that includes the recipient's address with you at the time of pickup.
