Don't hire a Virtual Assistant Unless: You have a system in place. if you don't, than stop hiring and:• Document your process, and keep your data organized • Set yourself up with a project management tool.• Create a trainable workflowSystemize and scale. not the other way around.

For anyone still sitting on the fence(I know it's not comfortable there)about getting a VA.Before I push you off that fence(of course, I will be gentle)Let's prep your business for a VA1. Assess your readiness↳Are you ready to hire?↳Why are you hiring? 2. Have your SOPs in place↳Document your processes or record them on Loom (Videos are the best & easiest) 3. Define what to delegate clearly↳Make a list •Task you don't have time to do•Task you don't how to do •Tasks you'd rather avoid•Tasks only you can do4. Set a communication system↳Use cloud apps for file sharing↳Know how & when to communicate↳Track progress via project management apps5. Determine the qualities you’re looking for↳Focus more on values & purpose (skills can be taught, but character can't)& that's it. I believe every biz owner can benefit from a virtual assistantBut if you ain't ready. Take your time Next week I will push you off that fence And I promise to be gentle 😁

Dive into any successful program manager's toolkit, and you'll find an array of technology and tools that seamlessly align with the rhythm of their work. A core part of my journey in program management has been embracing technology to streamline operations and enhance productivity.Sure, foundational computer literacy is a given. But the real magic lies in how you adapt to and integrate company-specific tools into your workflow. I've spent years honing my skills on platforms like JIRA and Microsoft Project, not just as utilities but as extensions of my strategy. And of course, I've delved deep into the functionalities of staple programs like Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Word, utilizing them to their full potential. For those on the hunt for a program manager who's as tech-savvy as they are strategic, who views technology not just as a tool but as a collaborative partner, let’s connect. if you have a team of remote support (employees or contractors) or two+ locations: you must utilize a project management platform to ensure your team knows and understands their goals, stays on track and receive on-time updates as they work. this is also incredibly important for holding ourselves + others accountable, ensuring your team meets their deadlines, and understanding project flows and timelines.in the era of remote work, it truly is a non-negotiable for efficient + effective work. 🌱

💡 The significance of each project phaseThe project management lifecycle typically involves several phases, each playing a crucial role in the project's success. Here's a breakdown of the significance of each phase:🖇 Initiating This phase lays the foundation for the entire project. It involves defining the project's purpose, feasibility, and initial scope. Key activities include:Identifying the need or opportunity for the project.Establishing a project charter that outlines the project goals, stakeholders, and budget.Conducting a feasibility study to assess potential risks, benefits, and resource requirements.🖇 PlanningThis phase takes the groundwork from the initiation phase and develops a detailed roadmap for project execution. Key activities include:Defining project deliverables, timelines, and milestones.Identifying resource needs (personnel, equipment, materials).Establishing communication plans and risk management strategies.Creating a detailed project schedule that outlines the sequence and timing of tasks.🖇 Executing This is where the actual work of the project gets done. The project team carries out the tasks outlined in the plan, following established procedures and quality standards. Key activities include:Managing resources effectively.Delegating tasks and monitoring team progress.Communicating with stakeholders and addressing any issues or deviations from the plan.Ensuring quality control throughout the development process.🖇 Monitoring and ControllingSignificance: This phase involves tracking progress, identifying and addressing deviations from the plan, and making adjustments as needed. Key activities include:Tracking project performance against the schedule, budget, and quality standards.Identifying risks and developing contingency plans.Managing changes to the project scope or timeline.Making adjustments to resource allocation or project execution strategies.🖇 ClosingSignificance: This phase signifies the formal completion of the project. Key activities include:Delivering the final project deliverables to stakeholders.Evaluating project success against initial goals and objectives.Documenting lessons learned for future projects.Formally closing out the project and releasing resources. Each phase contributes significantly to the overall success of the project. By following a structured project management lifecycle and effectively managing each phase, project managers can increase their chances of delivering projects on time, within budget, and meeting stakeholder expectations.#pmp#linkedin#Google#project#management#certificatioin #pm#Management#Innovation#Technology#Sales#Strategy#Sales#Business#Hiringandpromotion#Advertisingandmarketing#Productivity

Navigating an ambiguous environment can be a massive challenge, especially if there are multiple teams trying to work on one project. However, I like a challenge 😉 This is why I took it upon myself to completely overhaul the project management process that our marketing team had in place. It took time, dedication, and consistency, but we were able to restructure the way our PM software was used - allowing for better collaboration across teams, quicker project turnaround and diminished overall ambiguity. Here is what one of my colleagues had to say regarding my impact:"Managing the promotional activities...I work directly with Joanna. She has brought a level of professionalism, process improvement, and project management that has helped transform how we work at Ortho."I'd love to take on additional challenges like the example above while working remotely. To my wonderful network: if you or someone you know is looking for an exceptional project manager and/or executive assistant to work remotely and transform how you work, please let me know!#team #work #projectmanagement #openforwork #remotejobs #executiveassistant
