Tresanti Adjustable Stand Up Desk at Costco Review (I love My New Desk!) (2024)

I have been searching for the perfect desk for awhile now. I have looked at so many different types and styles. Finally after not being able to decide and just really needing a desk I just ordered the Tresanti Stand Up Desk at Costco.

I have previously seen this desk in stores, but never bought it because I wasn’t sure if this was the right style I was looking for.Originally I didn’t want to buy an adjustable or stand up desk. I just wanted a basic desk to get my work done.

Honestly I didn’t have high expectations when it came to this desk.I am excited to say that this desk is seriously one of my new favorite things. I am so happy I purchased it and am absolutely in love.

Desk Settings and Buttons

On the top right side of the desk are desktop controls for adjusting the height.

The height of the desk can be easily controlled with touch sensor desktop buttons. There are three programmable settings that allow you to set exact heights.

Basically you can save three different height settings, and then with the click of a button the desk automatically adjusts to that height. There is also a digital display that lights up and then turns off after a few seconds that shows the current height of the desk.

You can use the up and down arrow button to manually adjust the height of the desk.

Stand Up Timer

There is also a stand up timer that can be set to give you an alert to switch from sitting to standing. The timer can be set in the following minute intervals: 0 minutes (this is if you don’t want to use the timer or for at night), 10, 15, 30, 45, 60, 75, 90, 105, and the longest time setting is 120 minutes.

Whatever interval the timer is set for the desk will beep, but doesn’t automatically change heights. When you hear the time go off, you just change the desk height using the buttons. The alert is meant to remind you to stand up during the work day.

The manufacturer suggests that using the standing timer can reduce your seated time by at least two hours a day which can support better health, improve alertness and help with circulation.

Adjusting the Height

The desk itself has a long plug in power cord that is used to power the desk. The desk adjustments are smooth and aren’t too loud. The desk can be set to the smallest height of 29.4” all the way to the largest height of 47” tall.

On the right side of the desk there is also a built in lock switch that you can set to lock the touch controls on the desktop. If the button is set to lock, the buttons will not work and the desk height will not adjust.

If it’s set to unlocked, then the buttons will work and the desk height can be adjusted.I like that you can lock the controls. I normally set mine to lock so that I don’t accidentally hit the buttons to adjust the height.

It’s also nice if you have kids around, so that they don’t push the buttons. There are also two USB plugins next to the lock button on the side of the desk. This is useful if you have electronics that run off usb.

Most of my electronics use USB-C so I am not currently using this feature, but I could always get an adaptor for the plugs.

One of my favorite desk features is the wireless charging feature that is built into the desktop. I have found it so convenient to just charge my phone every time I sit down to work.

It’s very nice having the charger built right in, so you don’t have to worry about plugging your phone into the charger or getting up to get your phone if someone calls. It’s just always right there next to you charging.

The desk also includes a built- in storage drawer that is perfect for storing small office supplies or small electronics.

Where to Buy the Desk?

Certain times of the year they sell the stand up desk at Costco as an in-store item. I know that I have seen this desk for sale at the beginning of the year when Costco stocks all their furniture.I wish that I would have purchased it when I saw it in the store because it sells for $249.99 as the in-store price. I looked for it in April at my local Costco and they didn’t have any in-stock.

Since I really needed a desk, I just ordered it online for 309.99. I believe it’s a higher price online because of the cost of shipping it to you.

Putting it Together

The actual desk comes in a really large box. I was a little bit scared that it was going to be very hard to put together.

There are step-by-step instructions included in the box that make putting it together quick and easy.It only took me about 20 minutes to assemble all by myself.

The nice thing about assembling the desk is that you don’t even have to take the desktop out of the box.Once you open the box, there are two sides. One side contains the desktop and the other has the legs and base.

Why I Love This Desk

When I first purchased this, I didn’t really think that I was going to like it.I was not sure about having a glass top desk, and also, I was just looking to buy a regular desk, not a standing desk.

Since I loved the colors, and also the price was good, I decided to purchase it. To my surprise I just really love it.I actually now like the glass top. It is easy to clean and I don’t have to worry about it getting stained.

While I mainly use the desk as a regular sitting desk rather than standing, it’s nice to know that I can adjust the height and that I also have the option for standing. My goal is to start standing more often during the day, so I am definitely going to be taking advantage of the standing heights soon.

I really love the built-in wireless phone charging feature. This is so convenient and my phone is always charged up now!

Final Thoughts

If you are looking for a great desk then I would 100% recommend that you try out the Stand Up Desk at Costco.I honestly think that not only does it look beautiful and sleek, but it’s functional, well built and has some awesome features.

It’s perfect if you are just looking to use it as a sit down or stand up desk. While I did have to pay about $60 more to purchase mine online, I still think that for around $300 this desk is a great deal.

I had seen this desk more times than once at Costco and never thought I would like it. I am so happy that I finally ended up buying it!
